Play A Game
« on: May 01, 2010, 05:57:44 PM »
Okay, so I know I have a horrid record for updating AND continuing stories but I will try with this one. It's a short prologue but I digress. Please, if you like it post a comment? You can even point out flaws if you find some. All the characters are purely mine and created by me (so please avoid the whole "OMG THEY HAVE THE SAME PERSONALITY TRAITS" I really do try.) So yeah, here's my story....Sorry if you're a touch lost as of right now, ALL WILL BECOME CLEAR! *inserts massive glow* ^.^ Ignore the whole glow thing, I do love the glow thing...

Prologue:

The pressing darkness surrounded him, suffocating him and driving him insane. Cries of pain and screams of terror pierced the silence and rose in volume. He clutched his head, his screams silent in the roaring sounds surrounding him. The images flashed violently in front of him, his family burning and trying to escape the flaming car. He reached out for them but they faded from existence. He let out a strangled cry as the worst moments of his last few days flickered by, just out of reach.
‘It’s your fault that they died. Everyone, if you hadn’t told them about your dream and your friend then maybe things would be different?’ he whipped around, the person standing behind him was dressed in a long flowing robe. Its hood covered his face but the violet glowing eyes stood out and pierced through the darkness. ‘Don’t you see? Your stupidity led to their inevitable death along with yours. The police found your body, of course, so hard to identify what with how badly burned you were. The gang you sought help from is getting off with minor charges. They believe you killed your family, ironic isn’t it? You were just trying to help them, only to help,’ He lashed out at the figure, who disappeared as his hands slashed violently through the figure. He whipped around to find himself staring at his body standing before him.
“Why?! Why did you kill them?! If only we understood what was going on! We should have never told them! YOU WERE SO STUPID!” he flinched as his mirror image yelled at him, burns danced over his body and he crumpled before disappearing. The figure stood before him, flames danced up dangerously around them, lashing out at them both.
‘Would you like to play with me? I’m ever so lonely, you can go again. You can live again, a new life where you’re new and no one knows you. I can make you forget them, everything, the pain and even their deaths and yours. Will you play my game?’ the figure held out their hand, he hesitated before latching onto the hand, spiralling downward as blackness engulfed him.

I do promise no more glow after this as it screwed over my italics and such...
