An Adults Only board!
Where the Adults can talk about...adult things.
I wont be allowed in due to my age, but it'll give me something to look forward to!

Really though, we need a Game discussion board.

I second the adults only board.  But only if it's censored excessively, and pictures aren't allowed.  Game discussion did seem to be a hot topic in the old forum... which will remain un-named...  So yeah, I'd go with that.  I might even mention some of my more recent diversions...

What are you two on about?  A child board...as in a 'Sub' board inside the ART section for comics.   ::)

Oh, and I third the gaming board ^^

There will never be an "Adults" board on the forum, if only due to the fact that age limits are unenforceable.

Gaming board, three votes, thy will be done.

Um... SF... that wasn't a suggestion that was supposed to be taken seriously. o.O There are plenty of adult boards on the net if that's your thing, but it does not belong on TOTC.

I really think that if we're going to create a comic board/sub-board/anything it would be best to merge art and writing into a general creativity/artistic forum. When you break it down, it goes like this:

Art:
pocheros' art (often- or at least start updating it often)
pocheros' sprites/pixel art (I'm potentially collaborating with someone on a game, so it might be updated often)
Talon's art
Talon's sprites

Writing:
FA
Queen of Dragons

Comics:
I never paid attention to this forum, but I will assume there are one or two active comics

And other threads in those forums are rarely made. So it's just 6-8 threads. That should be considered. I am going to try to encourage more discussion in the art forum, but we don't yet know how that will go. :P

DR. EDIT: Oops, looks like I replied too late :P

I thought that was obvious.  :-)

I can't think of why we would need any more boards, but I do like the idea of generalization.

Oh, now that I've re-read your post I see that you were being sarcastic. I think. It's so hard to tell with you >_>

I move in an out of sarcasm quite freely and with gusto.  But no need to repeat yourself.  :-)

I write!

...

*crickets chirp*

Although, I think we should keep it the way it is, if only so that the "new post" notifiers are shown for the various creative topics. For example, someone may care less about the comics, but want to see someone's artwork, and when they check the forum because they see that there's new posts, they'll find out later that there's no new posts in the topics that they care about. As well, there will eventually be growth in the forum, and to keep the forums separate now means that the forum veterans won't be confused later when the one forum eventually gets too large and needs to be separated. Plus, Mike doesn't need to change things this way. = D

Also, SciFair's hard to tell sarcasm with. But it's good that way.

Dan your brain works with great wisdom at times.  I remember that I would almost always ignore the art thread at FFQ though I would read almost everything else... then then I just started ignoring everything.  It's perfect!  Viva la um... many boards?

In your example (caring about comics, but not art), that's what happens now, as Comics is a sub- (child- >_>) forum of Art. Is this a call to promote it to a full forum?

Eh, good point. At the same time though, you don't want to make the forum too large. Maybe a "creative forum"?

Creative Forum - Comic Forum
                     - Writing Forum
                     - Artwork Forum
                     - etc.

Would that work? Or would it just end up being cumbersome?

They're already under the heading of Creativity. I think I like it how it is now. Maybe comics should be promoted to a full forum, however.

That's true. I'm just creating needless clicking, being the bane of mice everywhere.
