Granted, but you sleep in all day, get up and go back to sleep.

I wish I had more turkey.

Granted. The explosion you subsequently hear is your house bursting with thousands and thousands of kilos of turkey.

I wish I could control time (i.e. to give myself more time to sleep in the morning)

Granted...but then Kale sends you to an alternate time line.

I wish transfereing data from one PC to the other was easier

Granted. But, you have to use a Mac

I wish that these wishes were easier to think up.

Granted, but they are now all ridiculous.

I wish I knew of a free photo animator that would let me resize frames

Granted, but you forget the name if it four seconds later

I wish that I could beat I-no in Guilty Gear XX.

Granted. You lose against the next character, whose name I ignore, since I've never gotten that far.

I wish I could study a bit more and be online a bit less.

Oh goodness, the Jackass Genie game.  I've been playing it for a while here: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=x1grndvkgmfokzutlgn3s74b

Anyway...

You are less addicted to the internet.  However, you develop an addiction to a real drug.

I wish that this thread could do all three types of wishes--the Benevolent Genie, who grants things as you actually want them to go, the Literal Genie, who grants things exactly as you say (but not necessarily parsing the words correctly), and the Jackass Genie, who grants your wish but finds other ways to screw you over.

Granted, but no one else on the forum is able to distinguish between the different kinds, and your brain dies.

I wish more people visited the forum...

Granted, but people only post once a week.

I wish I remembered to post here more often.

Granted, but you no longer have anything interesting or relevant to say.

I wish I could have three more wishes.

Granted, but they are all for peanut butter and pickle sandwiches.

I wish I could get this hard drive apart so I can destroy it.

Granted, but once you do, you realize the terrible truth: The source of its problems was actually a terrible demon, sealed in there at the time of manufacturing. By breaking the warranty seal, you cut the wards keeping him in place, and he escapes to lay ruin to the world.

Realizing your mistake, you set out to find and slay the demon, teaming up with a cute chick (who turns out she likes you), a mean bruiser who is actually kinder than he looks, and an anthropomorphic creature who has nothing better to do than help you. You go on all sorts of wacky adventures, some ending in victory, some in defeat, and even get killed at one point (but, don't worry, you're brought back by some kind of deus ex machina!).

Finally as you track the demon down, another revelation strikes you as you realize that you were manipulated from the very beginning by a third party, who sought the release of the demon for his own dark designs. Even though you'd travelled so far, you don't get a chance to actually fight the demon. Instead, you get a chance to beat up... a frail old man. Oh! But he's turned into a monster now, so that's okay!

Then, as he lays on the ground, slowly dissolving into the air around him, he tells you one last thing: "I'm sorry, son."

...

I wish I weren't so clichéd.

I don't think that's possible.  D:

Granted, but everyone you will ever meet from now on fits RPG character clichés exactly, and you eventually kill yourself because no one would ever want to live like that.  Then, they bring you back with a pheonix down, unless it happened in a cutscene.

I wish my DS's battery wasn't dying, and instead could last without being recharged indefinitely.

Granted! You no longer need to charge it indefinitely!

I wish I didn't have to get up so early tomorrow morning.
