I was not enforcing a rule, I was reminding him of it. There are exceptions to most rules, and I think this was a borderline case. Yes, there was Necroposting. But, the primary purpose of the rule is to prevent ancient discussions from resurfacing, where those involved may or may not share the same viewpoints any more. In this case, the thread was never really alive to begin with, so it's not so much of a big deal.
Now, however, I'm locking it, as it's all cluttered up with this moderator discussion (which, by the way, was final the first time I said it.)
