Anyway, the "nice recap!" line just made my day.  Thanks for this small ray of awesomeness, Mike.  :P

Edit:  And while I'm thinking of it, I just realized.  I think the bats in Hell were green...  Wait, there weren't bats in hell...  Were there...?  Great, now I need to go replay Cave Story again. >.<

There are during the last battle, but I don't see how that has anything to do with the comic <_<

Especially since Bat is not from the Sacred Grounds.

<_< He is certainly the toughest in the history of bats that have appeared in this comic, sure. I am, however, certain (being the author) that there are other, stronger, bats.

So he's not from the Sacred Grounds, and there are stronger bats...  Hmm.  Probably not from Grasstown, and I don't remember there being any bats in the waterway or the labyrinth.  So either he's from Grasstown, or he isn't from anyplace that we know of.

I don't know if I've mentioned this theory yet, but he could be a human or mimiga turned into a bat by the doctor as a practical joke or something.  It's possible.

There are Bats at the start of waterway, but none in the labyrinth.

Actually there are bats in Sacred grounds, but only at the very end when ballos summons them
