Chapter six
The Dragon's Den
"So this is where you lived," Tentigetska stated as he walked by my side.
"Yeah, I'm a bit proud of this place," I explained, not wanting to relive the past.
"Well, you should be proud of where you use to live. After all, it will always be your hometown," Tentigetska explained, I just smiled a little bit. He was right, it always will be, and I should be damn glad of it.
"Rose! We need to talk," Danta called, rushing over to me.
"About what!?" I asked as Danta dragged me away.
"In privite," Danta told me, dragging me off to his house.
Once he dragged me into his home, he closed and locked his front door.
"Ok, now spill it," Danta demanded as he sat down on his couch.
"What?" I asked, completely confused, I didn't remember what he wanted me to tell him. Silly me, it isn't like I 'forgot' on purpose.
"Who do you have a crush on!? You said you wouldn't tell me because your team was around. Now that we are in private, you can tell me," Danta explained impatiently.
"Oh, right. Well you have no right to know either," I scoulded, knowing full well that he truely didn't need to know.
"I've been your best friend for years! You have to tell me!" Danta yelled, standing up. You know, he might have a point there.
"No, now I should be going..." I started but Danta grabbed my arm.
"Tell me or I guess," Danta threatened. I hate it when he does that.
"Tentigetska, the one with the black wings," I whispered blushing.
"No way! I like him to," Danta said with a wicked smile.
"You're kidding me," I asked, in total disbelief.
"I'm sooo not!" Danta pouted.
"I truely love him, even though we do fight, and disagree. I really do love him, but I can't tell him," I sighed, a slight pout appearing on my features.
"And why can't you tell him?" Danta asked, now courious.
"Because then he could get distracted and put the team at risk," I explained, Danta realized this as I said it.
"Oh, well what if I tell him for you?" Danta asked, he just wanted to talk to Tentigetska.
"No! As I said he could get distracted on a mission," I scoulded, mad at Danta for being so nosey.
"Aww, come on. If you tell him, he might treat you better," Danta started to explain.
"We're not going out, Danta! We are just friends and until I decide to quit as team leader, than he and I can go out," I explained, mad at Danta for being really nosey.
"Excuses, excuses, excuses. You don't want to because you're chicken," Danta smirked.
"I'm soo not! I can tell him whenever I want, but I know I shouldn't," I growled out.
"Ok, so why not tell him now?" Danta asked, taking hold of my hand.
"Because I like another guy too." It slipped out.
"What?!" Danta was not thrilled.
"Oops." I didn't plan to repeat it.
"Tell me now, or I find out the hard way." He wasn't fooling around anymore.
"I like someone else." I couldn't hold it from him.
"Who?!" What a nosey boy.
"Kalasky." He didn't know who he was.
"Why didn't you tell me that!?" The guilt trip begins.
"Because you're a nosey pest!" That just slipped out as well.
"Wh..what?" Oops.
"I'm sorry, Danta I didn't mean.." I tried to explain.
"No, no, I get it. I'll leave you alone. Please leave." Shit.
"Danta..."
"Now, go."
"Sorry," I whispered, leaving his house.
I wandered around town, looking around to see if I could leave without being noticed. My team was looking around everywhere else. But I couldn't find Tenti.
'I should go, this is why I never come back. I mess something up, so I leave. That's how I live. I run from all my problems, or I kill it,' I thought as I started to leave the city.
"Well, look who's leaving without the rest of us," Tentigetska stated, appearing in front of me.
"Get the others, we're leaving," I ordered.
"What? Why?" Tentigetska asked. Mistake number one.
"Now!" I demanded, not looking all to thrilled.
"Ok, going," Tentigetska replied, getting the others.
"God, some people have to ask so many questions," I mumbled, now waiting for my team to show up.
"Ok, I got them, I guess we can leave now," Tentigetska replied, knowing that I was in a bad mood and it only takes 3 mistakes to get me into my full killing mode.
"Then lets go," I muttered, running off.
By the time we got back to Slasherville, it was 10:30 pm. I went right home, not to Headquarters, and went to my ground yard and took out all of my anger. Doing so caused a lot of damage to the other trees, so before I went to my home, I fixed my surrounding area.
"Good work team...where's Dragon?" Leader asked, now taking a good look at the team.
"She went home to vent," Tentigetska replied. I guess he knows me quite well.
"Oh, I see, well tell her she did a good job tonight," Leader responded, having them leave.
"Damn, I have to talk to someone," I growled at myself when I got inside.
*Ring, ring*
"MM? Hello?" Tentigetska answered, not looking at the caller ID.
"Hey, it's me," I repiled, he could tell that I was in a bad mood and that I was exhausted.
"Oh, hey. What's wrong?"
"Well, I choose where to go for my mission and then I got spotted by a childhood friend, then we were talking then I kind of told him off, and now I think he hates me." I started to tear up.
"Wow, that's a lot of information for me to swallow." He's just registering that is was me. He's very tired.
"Ok, I can wait for you to respond, I'm feeling kind of down anyway." I truely was.
"Ok, I'll try not to be too long." He started to rememeber what I had just blurted out.
"Ok." I started my waiting.
'So he was a childhood friend, they talked, she told him off. Probably to but out of her life or something. Then now she thinks he hates her, why would that be?' Tentigetska thought.
"Ok, what did you two talk about?" He needed some answers to his questions before he could give me advice.
"Ok, well he asked me who I love, I told him Tentigetska. Then he wanted me to tell him, but I told him I couldn't or he could get distracted. Then he wanted to tell Tenti because he thought I was chicken to tell him then I told him no. He asked me why then I kind of told him that I like someone else. He asked me who then I told him that I like you, he was mad and asked me why I never told him then I told him that he is a nosey pest. And now I think he hates me." It all just came out.
"Whoa, well maybe you should explain all of this in either a phone call, a letter, or tell him in person the reason you called him that, then say sorry for calling him that and that you only called him that for whatever reason you called him that. Like out of anger or that you were annoyed or something. Ok?" He is such a big help to me.
"Thank you, I will. Now I don't feel as bad. Are we still a go for tomorrow?" I asked, feeling a bit better.
"Of course, at 3 pm again at the same coffee shop?" Tentigetska responded.
"Of course, I'll be ready." I then hung up.
"Time to call in my professionals," Tentigetska told himself as he hung up after me, then dialed Roy's number.
"Errrr, can't you call in the morning like normal people," Roy mumbled, half asleep.
"Sorry, but I will need your help for tomorrow at around noonish," Tentigetska explained, not telling him what I told him.
"Fine, done, now are you going to leave me alone?" Roy mumbled, now really annoyed.
"Yes fine, go to sleep now," Tentigetska said and hung up.
