Favourite Christmas Song of '07
« on: December 19, 2007, 01:17:43 PM »
What's your favourite X-mas song this year (Except OwA's carols of course :P)?
Mine has to be "Don't Shoot Me Santa" by The Killers (video Here)
Also, it's a Product Redâ„¢ song, so even if you normally download songs illegally don't with this! Go out and buy it!
Brilliant song though :)

Mine would be my friend singing the words "I hate christmas " over and over again to a random tune.

I don't think I have a favourite X-mas song but this one's pretty funny none the less. An Aussie version of Jingle Bells.

Dashing through the bush,
in a rusty Holden Ute,
Kicking up the dust,
esky in the boot,
Kelpie by my side,
singing Christmas songs,
It's Summer time and I am in
my singlet, shorts and thongs

Oh! Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way,
Christmas in Australia on a scorching summers day, Hey!
Jingle bells, jingle bells, Christmas time is beaut !,
Oh what fun it is to ride in a rusty Holden Ute.

Engine's getting hot;
we dodge the kangaroos,
The swaggie climbs aboard,
he is welcome too.
All the family's there,
sitting by the pool,
Christmas Day the Aussie way,
by the barbecue.

Oh! Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way,
Christmas in Australia on a scorching summers day, Hey!
Jingle bells, jingle bells, Christmas time is beaut!,
Oh what fun it is to ride in a rusty Holden Ute.

Come the afternoon,
Grandpa has a doze,
The kids and Uncle Bruce,
are swimming in their clothes.
The time comes 'round to go,
we take the family snap,
Pack the car and all shoot through,
before the washing up.

Oh! Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way,
Christmas in Australia on a scorching summers day, Hey!
Jingle bells, jingle bells, Christmas time is beaut!,
Oh what fun it is to ride in a rusty Holden Ute.

Its not that great, there's a lot of stacks on Grey and who can drown Grey the fastest in the pool by my numerous cousins.

I have a retort for the Aussie Christmas. I call it, "A Canadian Christmas":

Trudging through the snow,
Boots all soaking wet,
Over the bank we go,
No where near home yet.
Snowplow driving by,
Covering you in slush,
By the time you cross your door
your presents are all mush, oh!

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way!
Oh what joy it is to slide on a tractionless day, hey!
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way!
Oh what pretty colours the sky is coloured all today!

It's Christmas the next day,
But you've got to go to work,
You are really late,
And your boss will make you hurt!
Morons on the road,
They don't know how to drive,
They spin out of control in front
And send you for a dive, oh!

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way!
Oh what joy it is to slide on a tractionless day, hey!
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way!
Oh what pretty colours the sky is coloured all today!

Sorry, I couldn't come up with a last verse :(
