OnewingedDragon:
So it's time again here in the states. Time to elect another person to either get the rest of the world pissed off at us, or get the rest of the US pissed off at them. I'm sure mseveral of you are aware of the history being made in this by having both a black candidate and a female candidate. That's neither here nor there.
I am curious to find out what everyone, both in and outside the united states, thinks of all these shenanigans.
Mike Caron:
I have added a poll to this thread. You will find it unbiased and informative.
As a Canadian, I fear and am confused by the American electoral process. There's a two party system with roughly 12 candiates, and everyone votes for anyone, but then they vote for the party? A bit confusing, and since it won't make me any more patriotic to look it up (since it doesn't apply to me), I won't.
That said, I still have an opinion or two on the candidates. I would vote Democratic if I lived in the US, so my biases are in that direction.
- I support Hillary Clinton. I think Bill Clinton did a wonderful job in office, and I think that his wife would continue the Clinton legacy. If she were to be elected, she would be both the first female President, and the first wife of a President elected as President herself. It's good to break records.
- Huckabee. Yes, that's exactly what the States needs. A bible-thumping fundamentalist Christian. Wooh, show them terrorists! Fundamentalism is bad! Except when it's the good guys! ... Sorry.
- I have no further opinions, due to lack of information
Chevalier-Ange:
Well, to be honest, I have not paid as much attention to this as I should I suppose, being a border country and all, but I would have to say Hillary might not be a bad choice. That's just based on my observations in the past regarding her points of view, and just over all the type of person she is.

He's right. Hillary is nothing like her husband. He was a very conservative democrat, and made some very good changes, both economically and general quality of life. This woman bodes nothing but trouble. Instead of doing the same thing Al Gore should have done, and recognize the good things he did and try to build upon something like that, Hillary has completely distanced herself from what he did before. Because apparently having Republican-type ideas is blasphemous. On top of which she has changed her platform Twice now. Not to mention she has said she will try to seek a ban on m-rated video games.
