Celluar Telephony Devices?
« on: February 04, 2008, 01:20:23 AM »
So, like, the other day, I got this new MP3 player/camera. Naturally, these days, they've got so much crap built in. This one's got a phone attached.

;)

Seriously, though. I upgraded my old P.O.S. phone (that does not stand for Point-of-Sale, mind you) to a shiny new Samsung SPH-m500. It's got a camera, an MP3 player, Bluetooth, Internet, um... ringtones... metroid? Anyway, it's pretty good so far, but as neither of my phones are SIM based, I have to manually transfer everything over*.

What phones do you guys have?

* - The new phone came with a data cable, but, sadly, did not come with any drivers or software >_< While I can transfer files to the built in MicroSD slot (how I put MP3s on it), I cannot transfer programs or data (which, everyone else and their grandmothers are able to do). Help?

I have a Motorola Razr v3c.
It's slim, dusty rose in colour.
It also comes with NO CUSTOMIZABLE RINGTONES BECAUSE TELUS IS CRAP.
The plan I'm on sucks. It charged us about 200 bucks for a 30 minute phone call to an hour away.
Also, it comes with a USB hookup for my computer, except my computer likes to uninstall the driver/program every month or so.
-eyetwitch-
The only thing its remotely good for is pictures, even if the lighting sucks and I can't get them anywhere.

tl;dr don't get a razr, and don't use telus.

I've had a Samsung SCH-a930 for a little over a year and I like it, but I need a PDA/Smart phone. I'm looking at getting the Samsung SCH-i760. Bluetooth, wifi, windows mobile, yada yada. I just hope it lets me make ringtones like my current one does.

I have the Motorola Razr v3c, same phone as Alex, except mine is Onyx and not dusty rose in colour.

I have a Virgin mobile pay-as-you-go plan in which all local calls are 10c a minute. 5c to recieve a text messege and 10c to send one. It came with a camera/15 second video camera which works fine for my uses. I also have Internet access and Windows Mobile on it, although it is quite slow. Even though I have pay as you go, I have to have $15 in my account every month to keep my 10c and internet plan.

I don't really use my phone enough to worry about it expiring, which is nice.

Unlike Alex, I don't have a data transfer cable, so I have to buy everything for my phone instead of transfering it from my comp :(

I'm thinking, when I get a job of course, of getting that new double-flip phone. I'd want a good economic plan with it, but the hours of amusement flipping it in two different directions will be worth the purchase  ;D

I got a new fun. *dances* About time as well. XD

It's a Sagem 501c. It does the whole, I'm a small flippy phone with a ton of none phone related stuff. Camera, internet, blue tooth, mp3 player, connects with compy for putting more stuff on it! XD And it's like half the size of my old phone. So cute~ *gushes over phone*

I've got a Sony Ericsson...T630 I think the model is >_<
It's fairly old 'cause I don't work. So I only get new phones when my dad upgrades his...
It's a trusty phone though, has a camera, plays MP3s has bluetooth and what not. I never actually use it though. I'm not a big Phone kinda guy, so I never put money in it...

I'm still hanging onto a 3-year old Cingular LG C1300.  It's awesome - half the paint has worn off... no camera, no music.  But it's MY baby, and it still works just fine.  I'll get a new one if/when the battery dies.
