YES.

FINALLY, GOT THAT DONE.

Now to beat the island war and all that.  And maybe try for the level 30 trophy, because frankly, I'm at 19 and that's the highest I'm ever going to get as a DB.

Ha, I'm just starting that quest. Since I got the Wossname last life, I'm just going to zoom through it as a frat boy, completing the quests on the way. Which means I'll actually have to fight the boss this time >_>. Shucks

Its my favorite class, damn down time I guess I'll get a saber-toothed lime tommorow.

Sabre-toothed limes are cool, but not awesome. However, they are randomly required during the level 13 quest, so I've been leveling one up anyway.

Sometimes they are, sometimes they're not.  It's a 2/5 chance.

Haven't played much due to work and Pokemon.  I'll get back into it soonish.

Mystery Dungeon got shoved to the back of my mind for now, I've been playing Leaf Green.  I originally bought it as a source of starters from that gen but now I'm playing it for reals.  Diamond/Pearl is also out of the picture for now.

I'll start playing KoL again tomorrow, got a ton of work to do today D:

i kept hearing about this ascending thing so i decided to wiki it and it told me you can permanently keep 1 skill everytime you ascend so i wanted to ask, is it possible to keep all possible skills for one class like maybe seal basher and then move onto a diferent class altogether or is there a limit to the skills you can keep?(im asking even though im probably a very long way from ascending).

Over time, you can perm all the skills obtainable, one at a time. There is no limit. (of course, you can still run out of skills, since there are a finite number of them, but that's another issue altogether)

However, something that the wiki doesn't make clear (although, makes sense once you get there) is that each skill has two "levels" of permanency. A skill can be hardcore or softcore permanent, depending on the type of run you just left (your first run counts as softcore). If it's SCP (softcore permanent), then you keep it for all softcore runs, but not for hardcore runs. On the other hand, if you make it HCP (hardcore *), then you keep it for all runs, including softcore.

(But, not Bad Moon, which is another topic altogether)

It's actually not as bad as you'd think.  The only differences are that you don't keep your old skills and you can't buy items in the mall, so you have to supply everything yourself.  Bad Moon is the true evil, because you also lose all your old familiars, and just about every good thing in Bad Moon has a bad side.  You can't use 10-leaf clovers, you have no HCP skills or familiars, the special skills (named after the 7 sins: gluttony, lust, greed, etc.) all have a good side and a bad one (Gluttony, I believe, lets you gain extra adventures from food, but it also has a minor bad effect.  Something like -5% of your max HP).

So really, HC is hardest the first run and gets easier and more fun after that.  It's always a challenge, or at least it is until you have a ridiculous amount of skills permed and familiars galore.  And that's why they made Bad Moon- as a kick in the pants to the people who complained HC was getting far too easy.

On a marginally related note, I ascended again today, as an Accordion Thief. I'll be glad to be able to buff myself, rather than have to rely on them buff-bots.

I took the Blender Moon Sign, which grants me access to the Gnomish Gnomads' Camp. I look forward to being able to afford Torso Arwaregness.

Side note: I find it quite humorous that you learn how to wear shirts from the race that has no torso.
