Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the mimiga's the little flop eared things that you come across after the cave? Sue, Toroko, etc.?

When I get the time..I will try it.  My statement was basically, I didnt know there was any specific characters/bosses/kings or whatnot, so...I was/am looking forward to the element of surprise.  Thats all.

I can't imagine saying the name of a character that you aren't told until you defeat it would ruin the game for you.  >.>

For some reason, I either sucked or pwned against him. It's purely a binary state, no "I did ok against him".

Then again, I'm in the middle of a "3hp" game, so your health is largely in a binary state as well.

(I'm currently stuck at Monster X, whose green projectiles of doom are pwning me)

I found the bubbles to be rather effective against him.

I'm stuck on some boss whose name I don't know... I would blame my lack of coordination when plaaying games like this with a keyboard, but it's probably just that I don't like Metroid and this is supposedly like it, so therefore... I suck.

I was thinking the same thing. And oh did I used to suck at Metroid. But then i got better.

My brain dies when I play any side-scrolling platformer.

When I first played Cave Story I jumped into a spike, literally less than a minute into the game, nearly 10 times, each time dying instantly. Mike got a kick out of it. Needless to say, I haven't played Cave Story since.
