Countdown to November
OnewingedDragon:
So I just finished watching the Biden/Palin debate. I must say, Palin was far more prepared this time than she was with the debacle with Katie Couric.
I like what I'm seeing. Its turning into less of a presidential race and more of how fast can Obama take a commanding lead.
interrobang:
Call me apathetic but I am really tired of hearing about the election. And Palin's a quack; I sincerely hope Obama wins.
OnewingedDragon:
Me too, but I'm pro Obama, so everything that comes out of either McCain's or Palin's mouth is bonus for me.
Is pulling out of a state that you think you are losing a bad idea or prudent? I think it makes you look like a quitter.
RandomEd:
I hit the point where I don't care about the election a few weeks back. I'm think McCain will be "more of the same", and that Obama's certainly got the charisma to be president, even if his resume is rather brief. However, I cannot bring myself to vote for Obama - my views are far too conservative for that.
In both cases, I don't want an eternally-corrupt government usurping any more power. People need to take far more care of themselves, and quit expecting someone else to make everything all better. But that's a slightly different subject, I suppose.
I'll suck it up come election day and probably vote for McCain, but I don't really care who wins. I'll still be at the same job, scratching for my living and enjoying what I've got!

I find it hard not to agree with you Ed... I actually think it's funny I went down to Florida a couple weeks ago and spent a week with my grandparents. My grandmother has ridiculously strong political views that are almost amusing. Pretty much she says that Obama just oozes for evil. Which is pretty ridiculous, but whatever.
For awhile I've been thinking that Obama is going to win, but I'm not sure that I would vote for him. I'm actually still undecided. The one thing that amazes me the most about this political campaign though is McCain's tv spots. His commercials really make him seem like a moron. Especially the ones that are aimed against Obama! "How dishonorable." It almost makes me laugh how pathetic they are. But then again I'm not easily persuaded by non-information.
As for Palin in the debates, I just thought it was amusing how hard she trashed the current administration. It seemed like every time she got to speak what she wanted to say is Bush is a dictator and he has been sacrificing young children. I'm exaggerating ridiculously, but still the whole oh that white house... they're bad view is sort of silly.
I hate blame casting.
