[Aether Spellbound]

Rules: Obey the rules of the RP.
1.No god modding.
2.Everyone can be killed by mortal means, and nothing special is a must to kill a critical person. (main villain excluded from this but that is a different story.)
3.Only time you can kill off a teammate is if the story leads up to it then and only then can this be done, but it has to be mutual with the character's owner.
4.A maximum of 2 characters per person
5.Swearing is not allowed
6.don't have your character know what others would, if that character was never there to know it in the first place.
7.Everyone is a human and no exception, except of course the main villain.

Background:

Story: The world as we know it today no longer exists, due to a nuclear war. A few survivors started to re populate the world, and we have now been reduced to the most basic way of life. From the aftermath of the radiation, the ability of magic, is possessed by all, but mainly only in a unnoticeable way. Now the world resembles our Middle Ages in almost every way. With all of the destruction has an ancient evil been re awakened?

My Character is as follows:

Name: Aether Spellbound
Nickname:N/A
Age: 23

Appearance: He has Brown eyes and ear length brown hair, a scar on his left cheek delivered by a knife. Aether has a medium build, and the body frame to match it. Aether wears a cotton outfit, the colour of light brown, holding a dusty look. A pair of leather boot done his feet,and a half cloak, hooded which are both black. A dagger rest at his side, hanging from his belt.

Specializations: Aether specializes in mainly hand to hand combat, and slightly skilled in knives... but that is about is for his specializations.

Background: Aether grew up in a small town, born after the world managed to rebuild a bit. He wandered the world looking for anything that could help him improve his and his families living standards, since he lives in a slum, he is trying to make money for them to have a better life.


Unoticible magic: What I mean by this is that what happens seems almost like an accident, and at the same time to unreal to be true. The magic just kinda happens, for the lack of better words, and seems to many that it is coincidence.  I hope that helped clear it up what I mean...

Changes: I finished my character, and I also added what I meant by Unoticible magic.

well here is the first post from me i think there may be a few spelling errors but i'm not sure, just to warn you and all.



   Aether walked through a ghost town, with corpses lining the streets. The smell of rotting flesh still lingered after how ever long they had fully decomposed. A rustle from the wind blew some of the sand up in a small spiral. Looking down, Aether noticed a fell reptilian tracks in the sand now barely visible from the wind blowing, "Well i guessed i was gone to long to meet the same fate as my family.", Aether spoke solemnly.
   Turning to look behind him to find that the skeletal remains seemed to have moved from there position. In fact they were move close to his position, surrounding him leaving no escape for his retreat, "I don't care what they taught me, taking on these thing in hand to hand is out of the question.", Aether spoke to him self, as he noticed that a few of them held deboneing knifes, "This is not good in the least bit. But hey if i live it will be something, and i would have an weapon for future." Letting out a slight chuckle, and wishing sightlessly in his head for help from anything to everything that could be of assistance to him.
   As if on cue a giant lizard standing about seven foot on all fours, burst through his surrounding ambush of the skeletons. Taking a quick dive to one side to advoid being trampled by the lizard, as it's tail just missed him as he laid on the sandy ground.
   Jumping to his feet, and darting towards on of the knifes laying in the sand. A rumble sound from his from, as another lizard rushed his way. A skeleton grabbed his leg holding him in place,"Damned effects of radiation.", Aether swore aloud hopping someone, anyone would save him from this almost certain death,which was now charging towards him.

[Protome]

Name: Emmerich Drofmab (I STILL suck at making up names...bite me )
Nickname: Protome
Age: 24
Appearance: Protome is fairly tall, has short black hair and brown eyes. He wears a cloak at most times, the shadow of which blocks out his face. But it is a pretty unmemorable face anyway. His black cloak can be pulled over most of his body, and underneath he wears black trousers and a t-shirt, both of which have seen better days and are torn.
Specializations: A crack shot with his pistol, but also carrys a sword with him for close combat, which he is competent with, but can be out-matched pretty easily.
Background: Protome grew up in a very isolated village in Scotland, which had more past technology than most of the rest of the re-growing world. It even had a small electrical generator. However, the village was eventually discovered by bandits, who burnt it to the ground, stealing everything. Protome was one of the few survivors, and has made finding and killing those who destroyed his home his goal in life.



There were two loud bangs and a noise that sounded like someone dropping a needle onto a solid surface. The lizard reared back on it's hind legs and screeched, before getting down on all fours again and tilting its head - scanning the area. While it was distracted, Aether struck out at the skeletal arm grabbing his leg, and leapt for one of the knives. He managed to grab one before the lizard remembered its target and took another run at him. This time when the bangs came, they caused the lizard to trip, and swing to one side, skidding across the ground. Aether saw a shadow leap from one of the remaining rooftops and landing on the giant beast's side. Then stabbing deep into its exposed stomach and ripping his sword across to the head of the creature, killing it. It then turned to Aether, and leapt deftly from the lizard and landed on the ground beside him. A gloved hand stretched out in front of him. He grabbed it and was pulled to his feet.

"Quite a mess you are in here." Protome said to Aether, his cloak shifted as he spoke. Moving the shadows to reveal his mouth, which was smiling. "...Did you really come to this place un-armed?"
"Well...yes..." Aether replied. "It wasn't like this when I left!"
"Ah. You are from around here?" Protome asked, but he didn't wait for an answer. "Those lizards showed up a few days ago. The skeletons followed. The poor buggers living here didn't stand a chance."
Protome swung round, his cloak floating deftly a second behind his movements, and he fired three shots from his pistol, hitting three skeletons in the legs and knocking them to the ground. He saw the second lizard, fighting with a few of the skeletons over a corpse of what looked like a child. He sighed then turned back to Aether.
"Look, I don't really have enough ammo to clear out this town, and this sword already needs sharpened. But d'you wanna try take out the skeletons and lizards anyway? I'll help as best I can of course."

[Aether Spellbound]

"Well this is some home coming party for me wouldn't you agree?", Aether spoke to his savior,"But I would rather run and have a chance to fight again, than stand and die here.", Aether exposed a slight grin on his face. Turning to head own an ally way between the houses, Aether turned back to his savior, "Coming?"
  Turning to follow Aether with a slight relief from the fact he had not picked, to fight off everything in the town,"I'll be there.", Protome said as he followed behind. He should know were he is going, after all this was his home town, Protome's thoughts remained hidden to all but himself.
  As the two walked down the ally, sounds of scrapping, from behind echoed. "Why did you leads us down here?", Protome asked
  "Simple this is the shortest way out from the center of the town, plus i would like to see one of the lizards get down here.", Aether said as the space which they were walking in was becoming tight, "If you don't want to trust me the by all means why did you save me?"
   "One less victim in my books.", Protome spoke," Is the better for the rest of us. Alive that is.", Aether stopped suddenly, when he noticed a shadow, at the end of the ally, "What did you stop for?"
   "Someone or thing is down there.",Aether answered,"do we dare continue forward?"

How long has there been a lack of RP's here at this forum? oh and don't worry about the fact that you say you suck at making names, I wasn't so good my self at first... I think I will pass on bitting you.

Protome caught sight of what Aether had seen, and took point, pushing Aether back slightly. He lifted one finger up to his mouth, signalling Aether to be silent, then crouched low to the ground. He moved in this manor very slowly. Creeping. Until he could fully determine what he saw. Aether followed behind in a similar manor. Protome sighted a stack of boxes not for from where the the being that was causing the shadow should be. He pointed silently at them to Aether, then they both made their way slowly and quietly to this point. Once there, they knelt, backs against the boxes, and Protome peeked round the corner.
"...And you are SSSURE you sssaw him come into this village?" came a voice. It sounded strange. Almost snake like, each ess elongated beyond what any normal person would speak. A second voice, this one slightly more normal but cold and harsh, replied.
"Yes. It was definately him. I found him a few days ago. And there is evidence of a fight in the street back there. So I assume the lizards and skeletons and other foul beasts have yet to catch him."
"I'm sssssure they will with time..."
"Perhaps. But with all due respect sir, he is no fool. Protome is likely to leave the village as soon as he gets what he came for."
Protome cringed as he heard his name spoken.
Aether leaned over and whispered in his ear, "Are they looking for someone?"
Protome replied almost silently, "From the sounds of things. I think they are looking for me...Be quiet a moment"
Aether nodded and knelt back against the boxes once more.
"...don't know what he sssseeeksss, now do we?"
"I have a hunch sir. But he isn't likely to find them here."
"Ahh...Well. Your employerssss will be waiting for your...triumphant return."
Protome leaned over slightly again, and saw one figure - the man with the harsh voice - kneeling before the other. Then the snake-voiced man turned and walked into the shadows. And was gone. The cold-voiced man sighed then turned to face the boxes Protome and Aether were behind.
"You know. You two almost made me look like an idiot there." He said, and fired a few shots from an submachine gun that Protome could have sworn was not in his hands five seconds before. Protome retaliated with a couple of gun shots, one of which hit the man's shoulder with such force it spun him through the air. Protome then set his sights upon an escape route, but saw nothing. The boxes were stacked in such a way that backed him and Aether into a corne.. Aether! Protome only just noticed that his new acquaintance was no longer beside him. He had no time to worry about the whereabouts of his new friend though, as the man had struggled to his feet and was reloading his gun.
"Who are you?!" Protome shouted out from his cover.
"That is not important. What is important, is that you are wanted dead by some very, very influential people." The man replied with a soft chuckle. Protome wasn't listening much, he just had to keep him talking as a distraction. Hopefully Aether was taking all the info in, where ever he had gotten to.
"So you're an assassin?"
"Hmm...I suppose you could call me that." The man replied. He was clearly not keen on talking to his target. Protome could hear every footstep the man took, getting steadily closer to the boxes. He weighed out his options. He could either jump out, fire a few shots, and hope for the best. Or he could wait for the man to kill him. Or Aether could jump out from his hiding place on the other side of the alley and stab the man in the back with the dagger he picked up earli- wait, WHAT?!
Protome heard the screams of pain from the assassin and rose from the boxes to see a blade being pulled out of his back by Aether. It wasn't enough though, the assassin was still standing. So Protome took aim and planted a single shot into his head, killing him.
Protome took a deep breath and then walked towards Aether.
"Good going...How did you..."
"He was clearly interested in you. I took the first opportunity I had to move away, I figured he might not notice."
"Or he'd empty a magazine into your body!"
"Perhaps. But I took my chances, and it paid off."
"And boy am I glad you did." Protome smiled.
The pair continued walking to the end of the alley, and found it was blocked off by a makeshift barrier.
"I guess the inhabitants put up a fight..." Protome sighed.
"Yes...Well, lets climb it!" Aether said happily before beginning to pull himself over the barrier.

seems the RP has kicked off well... btw your first post aether, boy was i surpised to see only two spelling mistakes! good job! (im sorry if that was offensive*just realizes now*)

My Character is as such:

Name: Tiaus Rodther (you guys think your bad? i used a name generator!) (pronounced: tie-us)
Nickname:ti (natch)
Age: 27

Appearance: tai's eyes, or more specificaly his iris' are a rare pitch black, theoreticaly caused by radioactive mutation passed down through birth(thats not to say he doesnt have whites in his eyes like eveyone else). his hair is also black med. length. he is 6'6" with a large build. he dons blue pants with a black slightly-torn tank top and leather gloves which cut off by the middle of the fingers h carries around a modified (not by him) scoped hunting rifle and a short eastern blade, the blade is hung horizontaly about waist height with his belt buckles by his rear, hilt facing east from north. (thats right from forward for the directionaly challenged like me )

Specializations: tai is a master at martial arts (it was gonna happer sooner or later XD) when it comes to hand to hand fighting there is little tai cant handle, his skills are very versitile which helps when tai uses his sword, he has a reverse wield style. the only reason tai carries around that rifle is to hunt considering his skill with it is less then adequate infact his skill with all firearms is like that although he has noticed that he tends to get lucky once in a while with a crack shot

Background: tai comes from an all to common ruined settlement (of course its was ruined AFTER he left) it is said in stories that were told there that the settlement was born from people who hid on the very outskirts of a nuclear explosion in an underground bomb shelter, there was very little radiation so the people were able to leave without serious effects. it was tradition to learn self defence and so tai learned from an early age how to fight. he left at the age of 18 to polish his skills in other lands when he returned he found the place rittled with bulletholes and scorch marks. tai was not filled with rage as others would be, rather, he was regrettful that he was not there to help and with no place to return to he began traveling the land. some time later he found a deserted shelter which contained wepons and supplies which tai clearly took advantage of.

whew done i hope i didnt screw anything up, i wont be inserting my character just yet considering i just killed myself makeing this char. and... i kinda wanna play rome total war right now... ^.^'

  "It look to me that you need some were to reload.", Aether spoke, to Protome, only after they have left the town, "And your sword could use a sharpening and all.", aether stopped just short of the slight indent in the ground.
  Stopping with Aether,"Why do you know of some were close that have those done at?", Protome said as he eyed the indentation in the ground, "There are mines around here?"
  "Yes, were going to travel through a mine field.", Aether resumed his walk, every once and a while picking up a stone or a rock, and tossing it behind him to trigger an explosion. Seeing the look on His partners face, a question of are you insane look to be exact, "If you are being tracked of hunted down what ever you want to call it, then we could use the mines to cover our tracks, plus I know my way through them, after all I helped to plant them." Aether let out a slight laugh, which in it's own right would make him insane.
  "If you say so.", Protome spoke, still a little uneasy of the path he had taken to flee the town,"Are you sure it is safe? Were are we going any ways?"
  "Not real safe per say, but we only have a few more feet of then and we will be cleared of them." Aether answered, " As for we're going." Aether stopped dead in his tracks, with a sound of an explosion,"we are going to were I trained, with the monks, and well it will be better, that I do the talking when we first get there, since there not to keen on outsiders.", Aether said as he was picking up the pace a bit, "If you have forgotten anything back there then well could go back and get it later and all."

DoR respond when you have a second... oh and your remark well was kind of expected and all since the last time i was here and the amount of mistakes that I have made then and all.

well i think i have something now although its pretty much the last hair if you know what i mean

moments ago...

tiaus awoke with a jolt, banging his head against the roof of the spiderhole he had made last night

"augh!... goddammit that hurts..." tiaus quickly regained himself as he sat in the small enclosure "whats going on out there?"

he rose the lid ever so slightly so he could see outside but there was nothing within his line of sight he could only hear the sound of battle at a distance. "better check it out..." tiaus organized his things as he prepaired to leave his lodgings.

once ready he placed both hands on the roof of his spiderhole and with great force pushed it off launching a wooden square and sand in the air to his left, although there was no one around to be caught off guard by this display... tiaus looked around "better safe then sorry..."

he quickly examined his suroundings, a barren town devoid of life, but only recently, tiaus had not seen as much becuse it was dark when he had reached the town, he could see pillars of smoke rising from variose locations about the town and decided hiding was better.

tiaus searched for the nearest intact building, he entered quietly checking each corner as he went and sure enough he found someone, he was guarding the stairs to the second floor, once he turned around tiaus snuck up behind him and tapped him in the shoulder, the man turned around and in one smooth motion tiaus punched him in the stomach, as the man started to hunch over tiaus grabbed the back of the mans head and smashed it to the ground, he was NOT getting back up any time soon.

tiaus proceeded to check the man's armour "bandits i knew it... but what could they be doing here?"

"fr-freeze!" another bandit, this one with a pistol drawn right at tiaus' face. tiaus slowly put down his rifle and sword and slowly raised his hands, silently.

the bandit got closer "wh-who are you?" the bandit said in a broken voice tiaus could tell he was glancing at his downed ally; tiaus stood silent, the man got even closer "wh-where did you come from?" tiaus tilted his head to the side while looking at the gun

"safty's on... rookie..."

the bandit, clearly unnearved, tilted his head the same way to check. tiaus took his chance, he knocked the gun out of the way with his left hand and delivered a solid punch to the bandit's solar plexus and a final blow to the back of his neck effectively knocking the bandit out.

after picking up his things tiaus searched the second floor, although empty, it did host a view of the action,a little distance away a fight was going on. all tiaus could make out was that there was two giant lizards two people and a few other humanoid shapes.

"couldn't be bandits... could they? still i gotta be sure" tiaus set off in the direction of the fight but it took him some time, but the time he reached the area it was deviod of human life... meaning the lizard (tiaus noticing the other is dead) and skeletons are still there.

"just my damn luck..." tiaus heard explosions from a distance "hmm must be them.." the gaint lizard suddenly rushed

"woah!" tiaus rolled to the side, avoiding the head on attck. but it wasnt over yet, the lizard was rearing up for another attack.

"not this time buddy" tiaus, thinking on his feet, rushed the lizard first. as it dropped tiaus used its head as a foothold and jumped on it's back "i hope this thing doesn't mind if i catch a ride... wh-whoa!" needless to say this made things worse, the beast was enraged, it began to run about wildly, tiaus could barely hold on.

"i know im gonna regret this but..." with one hand tiaus reached for his sword and stabbed it into the tough skin of the lizard's back creating a strong handhold. now the lizard was crazed it began ramming into anything and everything along its path as it ran, even a group of bandits someways back.

"i just knew i was gonna regret this!" tiaus was able to say before the lizard rammed into another wall, the only good thing about this whole ordeal was that the lizard seemed to be heading in the direction of the land mines...

and now...

that will have to be the end of my post, i dont prefer to end in cliffhangers but ive spent 3 hours on this post and im not up for continuing (im very good at getting distracted) and for those who dont know, a spiderhole is this thing i saw the japanese use in call of duty 5 world at war, should be a good enough explination but it if not enough ill explain it more in my next post (to be honest im not even sure if thats the real name but its the closest thing i can relate it too)

To get back on topic 

Aether opened his eyes to find a familiar face looking down on him,"Master what has happened? Why am I here?"
   "We came looking for you, after we heard what had befallen of your town.", Aether master Answered him, "And the one your with is here as well so don't worry."
   "We need some supplies, and a place to rest a few days." Aether began,"Would you mind helping us out?"
    "Fear not, we could help but it won't be for free.", His master spoke again," You will have to participate in the tournament were holding here."
   "Sure." Aether said as he let out a small laugh,"when will it be?"
   "In the next few days, but for now you should rest.", Pressing his hand to Aether's forehead, Causing him to fall asleep. Outside a bell rang making aware the approach of someone. only the name Tiaus was said, and his passage was open.

Mike this one should be better on the spelling side of thing...

[Aether Spellbound]

   The day of the tournament, appeared as if a few seconds had passed. Tiaus, and Emmerich  sat waiting in the stands with the other unqulified members of the society, The two had some time to talk, mainly about what had happened to the world and what not.
    "So do you think Aether will be in the tournament there holding?", Tiaus asked
    "From what I can gather he is.", Emmerich spoke
    "From what you have told me about how you two had meet i don't think he will do so hot, weaponless, unable to break free of that skeleton's grip.", A bell sounded signaling the start of the tournament, and the first name that was spoken was Aether.
   "Have you improved at all", Aether spoke to the other standing before him. The two took their battle stances, before the a second bell ringed, signaling the start of the match. Aether him self dodged, each and every attack his challenger gave him. With the slightest movement, Aether delivered a blow to the others chest sending him back a few feet. Walking over to his opponent, Aether noticed that he was unconscious from that single hit.

   The next mornings' light filtered in through, a window Aether awoken to find that two others were in the room with him. The first one he noticed as Emmerich, and the other he had no idea who it was,"I'm Aether and you are?", Aether said as he extended his hand to the newest person before him."
    "I know who you are, Aether.", Tiaus spoke, "But since I know your name I will give you mine. It's Tiaus"


note: I was trying to link all the characters together, in one spot. Just so you know for the reason of the two posts I have made.

sorry man, i did plan to post eventually but between the story im trying to write, school and the increased useage of the computer by my parents i havent had much post time in general...  btw this post is gonna be based on my assumption that the first part of you last post was also part of that hallucination/dreamlike thing that went on in the post before...

aether's eyes widened when he heard tiaus speak his name, no doubt taius had a confused look when he saw this.

"what? did a say something wrong?" aether recomposed himself "aside from the fact that you already seemed to know me?" aether thought to himself "n-no, not at all.." aether sat up and surveyed his surroundings, what seemed to be an abandoned building, small, and it was dark out

"how are you feeling?" emmerich spoke up, now that aether though about it he did have a headache but that seemed to be fading "good, more-or-less" .

"thats good considering that giant lizard hit you pretty hard" aether looked at tiaus who had bandages all over his arms "umm.... what now?"

tiaus laughed "no surprise i guess, it did a number on me too..." tiaus lifted and pointed at his left arm, "sure caught me off guard" emmerich added in despite his lack of wounds "okay, okay, back up... what happened exactly? "

tiaus started explaining the first part, about how he got to the town and on the lizard then emmerich continued "they guy comes right through a half decayed bulding in our direction, on top of a giant lizard no less! it barrels right past us, hitting you in the process, knocking you out, but it contunues onward setting off land minds and launching tiaus here nearly twenty feet before finally dying. its a miracle you two werent killed..."

aether took a second to let this all sink in, it made sense, he could vaugly remember being caught off guard by something from behind but what really had his attention was what tiaus said before, about how he already knew him... he decided to let that rest for know, he had ALOT to think about.

[Aether Spellbound]

Note: I can tell that you were a bit distracted, and all since I don't think you would have missed spelled surroundings at all... But any ways it was a good post, gives me something to post now laugh out loud.

 Aether looked around the room he was in, wondering why he had that dream of the past. Slow Aether started to stand, stumbling a bit to his feet. The other two looked at him wondering how Aethere had managed to stand so shortly after being hit and waking up, "How can you managed to stand?", Emmerich, and Tiaus, spoke together.
  "It's nothing in the end." Aether spoke to the two,"I've been hit harder before, By my mentor, the master of the academy I was at.", Looking at the two, "I'm sure you remember what happened there."
   "Yeah I do.", Tiaus spoke, as he recalled that day," But you completed the tournament and you were challenged by the him. So he could test you seeing how much you have improved."
   "Anyways, I need to go out for a bit.", Aether Spoke, "Any ways it is not like we could go back there now. That place was obliterated, from an attack, send by whom ever it was that sent it. I'm thinking that it is the same person that sent that assassin you Emmerich.",Aether proceeded to head for the door of the ruined building, as Emmerich grabbed Aether's arm holding him back.
   "I don't think you should be going out there with the condition you are in.", Emmerich said in a caring tone.
   "How long now has it been since all of this happened to my home town? The last that I knew, it was a few days but I don't how long that I have been out, from that hit.", Aether said to the others, 'plus I don't know what is happening to me, I feel something inside of me', Aether mentally spoke to himself, "There is something I need to get done, the reason I wanted to come back here in the first place."
   "But when you came back here you didn't know what had happened", the other two both answered him together.
   "I know that but now I have a something else to do here, and I need to do it alone." Aether, pulled free of Emmerich's grip,"I will be back"

   Later that day Aether returned, to the others. To Aether they seemed a bit relieved at his appearing in their midst,"Don't tell me you two when out to look for me?", The other two just nodded, their answer.


Side Note: Oh by the way Demon of Razgriz, you missed spell my characters name...aewther... Just added an "W" that is all... No biggie... Don't worry about it just letting you know and all.
